Dylan D. Mickelson Obituary, MEDFORD, Wis. — Dylan D. Mickelson, 19, of Medford, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026. His passing has left family, friends, and people of his community mourning the loss of a young man remembered for his personality, kindness, and the impact he had on those around him.
Dylan was born in Medford on December 9, 2006, to Lisa Mickelson and Thomas McAdorey. He graduated from RVA in 2025 and was employed at Sierra Pacific at the time of his passing.
Throughout his life, Dylan developed a passion for working on cars and enjoyed traveling, listening to music, and spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed shooting sports and was known as a T jr.
Those who knew Dylan described him as someone who cared deeply for his family and always made sure they were taken care of. He was remembered as a bright presence who brought energy and joy to those around him, living life fully and leaving a lasting impression on many people.
Dylan is survived by his mother, Lisa Mickelson of Abbotsford, and his father, Thomas (Michelle) McAdorey of Tennessee. He is also survived by his siblings, Shiann Mickelson, Emily McAdorey, and Lucas McAdorey; grandparents Sharon Rose, Gerald Mickelson, Rebecca (Thomas) Johnson, and Ron (Melody) Long; his girlfriend, Autumn Armatoski; aunt Kayla; uncle Allen; cousins Hailey and Vincent; and other loved ones members and friends.
Dylan was preceded in death by his step-grandfather, Dennis Rose; uncles Travis Mickelson and Patrick McAdorey; cousin Landon Wendt; and his friend, Joey Houk.
A Celebration of Dylan’s life will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m.
